Overview & Reviews
Audi's rugged allroad quattro receives no changes, but the options list has been simplified. Rather than offering various "convenience," "preferred" and "warm weather" packages, a lengthy list of desirable features, including leather, xenons, sunroof and auto-dimming mirrors have been bundled into a handful of premium packages. A cold weather package includes front and rear seat heaters with a ski sack. The Parktronic parking assist system is now a stand-alone extra, and the rear-facing third-row seat has been deleted from the options list. Finally, for those who find the allroad's twin turbo V6 wanting, Audi is expected to introduce its 4.2-liter V8 sometime in the 2003 calendar year.
- Elegant interior, powerful twin-turbo V6, flexibility of adjustable-height suspension, competent off-road performance.
- High base price, turbo lag, suspension can be harsh over bumps, lousy fuel economy in city driving.

It was the best of cars..it was the worst of cars - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By good_apple - March 26 - 7:50 amPurchased 2003 Allroad in September 05; parted ways in November 11. I chose the car for practicality and a need to be able to get around in winter..no matter what. It was perfect for that and was super comfortable on long trips. The downside: it went through tires and brakes like crazy. I am embarassed to admit how much I spent in repairs: the front suspension bladers, turbos, heater over and over, etc. Even my mechanic told me I could not afford to keep it. I will miss the winter reliability, but not the drain on my bank account.

First 10months - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By a mountain guy - November 24 - 2:00 amA great "compromise" between performance, luxury and utility! Better gas mileage and a more side supportive seat would be appreciated but overall a very special vehicle that is a joy after almost a year. One mechanical problem fixed immediately by dealer and none since.

Neat Machine - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By tiekenr - September 6 - 2:00 amFantastic substitute for an SUV! I upgraded from a VW Passat 4Motion and am still impressed by the craftsmanship of this car (and the VW was pretty impresssive in its own right). So many great features, but inexplicably, no GPS moving map (in the US, the European models do have it). Everyone else has cashed in on this feature, why not Audi?

Needs Work - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By angelo - August 31 - 2:00 amMy Allroad has been in the shop more times than Ive driven it. From out of round tires, 4 sets of rotors replaced, squeeking seats, to an engine that needs to have its heads replaced. I love th elook and comfort but I cant justify paying $45000 just for that. Although this car is crud, the Audi service center and customer service has been outstanding.

Best SUV/All purpose vehicle made - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By Bryan J Pacelli - April 19 - 2:00 amThe best part of this car is that it is great at EVERYTHING! Overall quality is second to none! The performance/handling/power is better than luxury performance sedans plus, it performs the same in the RAIN where the others have to change their driving habits, the Allroad performs the same in the rain as it does so well on the dry! The adjustable suspension gives me more ground clearance than most SUVs - If this isnt enough it is a blast in the snow - absolutely unstoppable! I am 35 - with a young family - it gives me the flexibility of a wagon in a fun, progressive/aggressive package - This is not my mothers Volvo wagon!!!

Love the car, hate the reliability. - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By Toby Smith - January 24 - 2:00 amWe have a love hate relationship with this car. In much the same way as you love the blacksheep of the family. Our allroad is fast (abeit with a little lag), smooth and very well thought out. The interior is prety much perfect, as is the exterior styling. It has and does everything we need as a family car with great aplomb. On the flip side it has been off the road for more than 2 weeks in less than 16k miles. The brakes were redone 3 times, new turbos have been installed, new interior lights, some squeeks and rattles were fixed, new drivers seat frame & motors, and a new gearbox was installed. This was all covered by the warranty but when is enough enough?

My review - 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro
By The Honza - January 18 - 10:00 amThis car is totally great idea for the people interested in offroad use and dont want to give up the luxury, in other words those who dont want the hassles of a huge sport utility.
